This holiday is one of the most important on the Chinese lunar calendar, second only to Chinese New Year; it marks the time of harvest, when the moon is at its biggest and brightest. Not only is there just one payline in Fa Fa Fa, there’s also just one symbol: the Chinese character Fa (发), which literally means “to open up,” like a wallet or purse.
